According to its website, “Power Pressure Cooker XL prepares family favorite recipes up to 70% faster than other conventional ways of cooking. Its Flavor Infusion technology guarantees that the food will not only be done fast but it will be delicious.”
It is supposed to have “built in safety features”, though its website fails to disclose what those safety features actually are. Each website which sells this product has a different description. Kohls, for example, even says there is a “Safe-lock lid and steam release valve ensure safe use.” This safety feature is not described on all sites.
Possible Power Pressure Cooker XL May Explode
Our office has handled several burn injury claims by victims alleging their pressure cooker exploded when they went to open it or while it was cooking. It has been alleged that a faulty part in the Power Pressure Cooker XL may cause pressure to build up without a means of release, thereby causing the contents to explode out when the pressure cooker is opened. One victim described the defect as a loose valve that gets blocked and cannot release the steam.
